The long-lived tornadic supercell of March 12, 2006



What happened

A long-lived tornadic supercell formed over southeastern Kansas on March 12, 2006. The RADAR images from a portion of this event are on this page. This page's mission is to demonstrate a good example of a hoook echo on RADAR. This supercell lasted for over 10 hours, causing extensive damage and, unfortunately, numerous injuries and fatalities.
