Anomalous Propagation (AP) as seen by RADAR
What happened?
On June 29, 2020, severe thunderstorms were occurring in North Dakota and Montana. Those storms were readily apparent on the RADARs closest to them, but in addition they were sort of visible on Foxwarren RADAR, in the form of second-trip echoes.
The imagery from this event is presented here. The second-trip echoes are those lines extending to the south-southwest of the RADAR.
