The morning bow echo of June 19, 2005



What happened

In the early morning hours of June 19, 2005, a severe thunderstorm initiated in eastern Montana and became a bow echo in North Dakota. It travelled across the state, eventually ending up in southern Manitoba during the mid-morning hours. A wind gust of 76 knots or 141 km/h was reported at Gretna as it passed through at 6:57 AM.
